What is My Clock Worth?

Many people have timepieces in their houses today, whether they are grandfather clocks, wall clocks, or mantle clocks. The problem that many individuals face is that they are not exactly sure what the worth of their clock is and many do not even know where to begin. Some individuals may even just assume there is no real way of finding out, but to their benefit there is a way to find out and it really is quite simple.

The first thing individuals need to do when trying to find out the worth of their clock is to collect all numbers that are stamped on the case of their clock. It is also important to collect all the numbers and writing found on the back of the clock works itself, which is most important for dating the clock. Along with all of the numbers collected from the back of the case and the clock works itself having a picture readily available for a visual reference will also make finding the worth of your timepiece a lot easier.

Once all of the information and pictures have been gathered the question being asked may be where do I take all of my gathered information. The answer is simple; there are many different resources that can be used to figure out the worth. Finding a local Appraisal Company or a knowledgeable antique business are very good places to try and start. There are several website references that can also be beneficial. They are as follows: www.antique-collectable-clock-.com or www.antiqueclockspriceguide.com. Finding out the worth of your clock is a lot easier than what many may think, you may even find out your clock is worth a lot more than you first thought!

Remember that time is the only resource that man cannot create. Use your time wisely.

What does a clock mean to your family?

Can you believe this, a clock is only one of two pieces of furniture that the kids will fight about when parents pass on their heirloom furniture?  A clock not only tells the time of day, but over time it will integrate itself into the family structure and home.  Each tick of the clock creates a heartbeat, and brings warmth and life to a home.  The chimes produce a soothing and comfortable familiarity to the soul each time it tolls.  No other piece of furniture can do that and that is why we love our clocks.

Proverbially speaking...

Remember that time is the only non-replenishable resource man cannot create.  Use you time wisely.
Stop by our booth 3424 at Showplace for the upcoming Spring High Point Market. We have market specials to get you introduced to Hermle.
Going to High Point Market soon, I hope to see you there.

Who is Hermle North America and Why Are We Blogging?

Here some history:
In 1922 Mr. Franz Hermle founded the Franz Hermle Clock Company in Gosheim, Germany. Within a short ten years the company was known as one of the most efficient manufacturers of clock movements in the industry. It wasn’t until 1977 that Hermle decided to another manufacturing facility in the United States, which was named Hermle Black Forest Clocks, located in Amherst Virginia. At the beginning of January 2011, Hermle Black Forest Clocks rebranded itself and became what we now know as Hermle North America.

Why are we blogging?
Hermle North America decided to begin blogging to try and reach out to a wide variety of different individuals. We want to become more involved with the rapidly growing cyber world and talk about different significant topics that many people may wonder, but may never take the time to find out the answer. If there is any particular question that you may have feel free to ask and we will do our absolute best to provide you with the best answer.
